Isabelle Brady

Isabelle (Liz) Parsons Brady, devoted wife of David L. Brady of Raleigh, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 25, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. Liz was born on October 31, 1935 in North Wilkesboro, NC to the late Everette F. and Rosa Lee Owens Parsons. After graduating from Millers Creek High School she attended the High Point School of Nursing where she received her degree in nursing. She practiced nursing for many years and was Director of Nursing at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Banner Elk, NC. The Lord gave her a heart of compassion for her patients and everyone else in her life. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she worshipped and served the Lord in Raleigh. She is survived by husband David L. Brady and sons; Bill Hilliard and wife Tammy and their children Dylan and Logan, John Brady and wife Sherry and their children Lynne, Chris and David, daughters Cindy Cantero and husband Arsenio and their children, Janene and Andrew, Kim Gillaspie and husband Nick and their daughter Kolby, Reneâ€™ Davis and husband Leland and their children Jessica and Derrek, Susie Bridge and husband Joseph and their children Daniel, Luke, Albert and Ginny, Tracey Dexter and Beth Brown and husband Ellis and their children Justin and Heather. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren as well as many adored nieces and nephews. In addition Liz is survived by brothers; Elden G. Parsons and wife Annette and Stephen G. Parsons and wife Karen, sisters, Eleanor Dagenhart and husband Jim, Everine Brooks and husband Luther, Corinne Fowler and Susie Roberts and husband Everette. She was preceded in death by her parents Everette F. and Rosa Lee and brothers Everette Grant Parsons, Grat E. Parsons, Virgil B. Parsons, Harry F. Parsons and Mack B. Parsons. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday July 30 at 3:00 pm at New Hope Baptist Church located at 4301 Louisburg Road in Raleigh. The family will receive friends in the Church parlor 1 hour prior to the service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers contributions be made to New Hope Baptist Church or Hospice of Wake County at 200 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607.
